The Calming Effects of Coffee
Now, you are probably looking at the title of this blog, and thinking that we are confused. You’re thinking that coffee isn’t actually that calming, and you can think of many things that are a lot more calming than coffee! But in a world where politics seems to really divide us and all the noise about tough budgets maybe it is time for us to rethink the way that we view coffee.
Perhaps what we need to do, instead of news channels panicking, and economic analysts shouting out numbers that none of us understand like no tomorrow, we need to get people in government to shut up, sit down, and make themselves a great cup of coffee – maybe using an Aeropress to make it, giving it splendid flavour and vitality. Because there is nothing more calming than taking ten minutes out of a busy day to sit, and enjoy the simple pleasure of making a cup of coffee.
Coffee can conquer all, can level all people, and give you that wonderful satisfaction that despite what’s going on in your life, you are holding something precious and untaintable. You cannot hurt coffee, and it cannot hurt you. When you sit around a table with other people, drinking coffee, everything always becomes that little bit clearer. You can’t argue with coffee, and you should treat your coffee time as a time for no arguments. It is just about the coffee.
So instead of worrying about the financial changes that are going to happen because of the new budget in Australia, why not sit down with a rather lovely mug of coffee, and take a deep breath. Smile. And drink.
